Summary: This book showed different pictures of things that an artist drew. First, it was a star. Next, it was a sun, a tree, a woman and a man, a strong house, a dog, a cat, a bird, a butterfly, a flower, rainy cloud, the night sky and lastly, it was the moon. All of these pictures turned into one combined drawing containing all of the individual ones. It shows you how to draw a star. The last part of the book was a picture of the night sky, traveling with a star and a man together. At the very end of the book, Eric Carle wrote a letter to the reader about his experience with family and shooting stars. He connected his story back to personal experiences with his life.

Opinion: I liked this book, especially because it connected back to the author’s life. He made it fun and interesting to read, and educational at the same time. I really think that children would enjoy reading this book or a similar type of book to this one.
