Miss. Nelson is Missing

Title: Miss Nelson is Missing
Author: James Marshall
Genre: Contemporary Realistic Fiction
Summary: A teacher, Miss Nelson, got fed up with her class. They were misbehaving and being very disrespectful, so she decided to play a little trick on them. One day, a new teacher was in the room. Her name was Miss Viola Swamp. Little did the children know, it was the same lady, just a different name and a different appearance. Miss Swamp showed the class that being disrespectful was not appropriate and they needed to be better listeners and more respectful to everyone around them. When Miss Nelson “returned”, her class was a different group of students. They were respectful and never did a thing wrong again.
Characters: Miss Nelson, students, Miss Viola Swamp
Plot: Miss Nelson had to be a mean teacher in order to show her class that being disrespectful was not okay.
Theme: respect
Opinion: I have read this book before and I have always liked it. It shows students morals and how to be respectful to others without having to be asked.
