Owen


Title: Owen

Summary: Owen is a boy (mouse) who is attached to Fuzzy, his yellow blanket. He has had it since he was a baby and it goes everywhere with him. Fuzzy likes everything that Owen likes as well. The family’s neighbor, Mrs. Tweezers, gives Owen’s mom and dad ideas on how to detach Owen from Fuzzy.
1.      Blanket Fairy-would leave Owen a big-boy gift if he put Fuzzy under his pillow at night. *Didn’t work*
2.      The Vinegar Trick-put vinegar on one corner of Fuzzy. *Didn’t work*
3.      Say “No” *Didn’t work*
Owen’s mom, one day, decided to cut up Fuzzy and Owen was able to use it as a handkerchief every day.

Opinion: I thought this book was an excellent example of choice. It showed that you can’t always get your way. It was a cute book and I enjoyed reading it.
